My belief

I always believed myself to be a creative woman, yet chose a path of logic and thinking. A deep connection to nature and the curiosity to investigate its every wonder were foundations for the makings of a scientist. The ability to see the details and the big picture and weave a path between is my strength. All along doing it just a bit differently- enjoying the creativity of putting together a research poster that caught the eye of someone not in my field. Surviving the wilderness of graduate school, diving deep into bench research surfacing to drive across the country to navigate the wilderness of academia. Each step seeking my “tribe”, my connection- surviving, but not always thriving. Yet all along the way, always finding the earth-connection, getting lost in wonders of a cactus blooming or feeling the expanse of a sunrise lit mountain range marching off into the distance. Somewhere in it all, I found a knowing that I am here to do things differently- to find the path where I walk from my heart. It scares me- the knowing it is time and not knowing what it is or where I am headed… check out my “I AM” poem of sorts… on this tab
