Cindy M. Wilson

Cindy has always had a “knowing” deep inside she was a creative and grounded woman, yet chose a path of logic and thinking. From her connection to nature and the curiosity to investigate its every wonder and ask questions grew a scientist. The ability to see the details and the big picture and weave a path between is her strength. While all along Cindy found herself doing life just a bit differently.

Cindy could dig in and learn what she needed to learn while also enjoying the creativity of putting together a research poster that caught the eye of an attendee and drew them in. She survived the wilderness of graduate school, dove deep into bench research surfacing to drive across the country to navigate the wilderness of academia. With each step in her earth-walk Cindy found herself seeking a “tribe”, a connection while mostly just surviving and occasionally always thriving.

Somehow all along the way, she could always find the earth-connection, getting lost in wonders of a cactus blooming or feeling the expanse of a sunrise lit mountain range marching off into the distance. She found a knowing that she is here to do things differently- to find the path where she walks from her heart.

Cindy’s thirst for knowledge turned from the logic of science to the “older wisdom” she saw surfacing in so many ways. It started as a personal journey to heal and connect to herself, and expanded into her “professional” world as a teacher, explorer and seeker of connections. In her search to balance her life Cindy reconnected with the earth and photography- finding her curiosity to “see it different” guides Cindy to images that seem to capture the spirit of the land not just the beauty and wonder. It is that desire and ability to shift perspective that is how Cindy does life differently and it is the portal to find when she is “stuck” in this world as just a small shift can open the door to endless possibilities.
