Wee wonders of the Mountain

WeeYellow

Scout Mountain Nature Trail,

Pocatello ID

By Cindy M. Wilson and Julie Hillebrant

A 3hr workshop designed to step you out of the chaos of life and get you to CONNECT with the peace and wonder of the mountain.  Learn to use the macro features of your camera to CAPTURE the wee wonders on the mountain that in a busy life you’ll pass right by, but when really observed and seen can give you a new and profound PERSPECTIVE on your life.

3 hrs with these two experts & you will walk away with

  • Experience on how to shift out of the chaos of life and your “busy brain” and into a place of grounded peace

  • Finding the magic and wonder of the world around you

  • Learning to shift your view and your way of “doing” things and how that can expand your worldWeePurlpe

  • Some simple “technical” tips on what makes a “good” picture

  • Some simple solutions to common frustrations in taking pictures in the environments nature serves up

  • Expert advise on how to use the macro feature of your camera

What to bring:

  • Clothing appropriate for an afternoon outside on *Scout Mountain and footwear appropriate for unpaved trails (please note- the nature trail does have a mild elevation gain but you do NOT have to walk it- you can stay in the campground area if your mobility is limited)
  • Water and a snack if you might need one
  • Your camera (and its manual if possible)- contact us if you want to come but don’t have a camera
  • A small camp chair (or stool) if you have one
  • A notepad/journal to take notes or record your experience if you desire
  • *If you have not been up Scout Mountain it is an alpine environment ~6,9000 ft

This workshop is Right for you if....

  • You need a “retreat” from the chaos of the world!
  • You think it takes a LOT of time to get out and enjoy the world!
  • You struggle with how to effectively use your camera (and/or it’s macro feature) to capture close-ups.
  • You are desperate for some simple steps to reground your self and find peace and joy.
  • You are not really interested in techno-lingo camera classes.
  • You want a few simple tips to use your point-n-shoot camera to actually capture what you see!
  • You wonder how to find those “amazing shots” of tiny wildflowers or dew-drops that feel are so magical.
  • You think it takes effort, remote locations and extreme patience/tolerance and a whole lot of luck to get a good image of nature so just can’t bring yourself to do it.
This workshop is NOT right for you if
  • You want to do a long hike with folks taking pictures- (we are wandering on the mountain to connect to it and capture a few of those connections)
  • You want to learn everything about your camera- (we are focusing on taking close-ups using the macro feature or macro lens)
  • You want to learn how to take “expert” nature photos- or you want to take bunches of photo’s and get feedback on all of them
  • You think getting grounded is something only tree-huggers do and you are not one of them

You get one-on-one time with these 2 experts AND the first 10 participants get a FREE GIFT (Yes- a 20min session with one of your expert guides for free!!!)
